1979 - 1986 for various GM Models Power Seat Track Transmission Housing Brand New Reproduction Power Seat Track Transmission / Gear Box Housing This is the housing or case located under the seat that frequently breaks mainly due to age Please Note: Gears, Solenoids, Cables, & Motor are NOT Included This case is intended for you to transfer over your existing gears & solenoids from your broken unit Now Available from GBodyParts.com These are exact reproductions made off of NOS units They are plastic injected like the originals, not vacuum formed Molded in White Excellent Fit & Quality Includes Transmission to Motor Coupling / Coupler This is the Plastic Connector "Coupling" that resides between the electric motor and the transmission drive gear housing It is designed to be a safety shear pin but commonly breaks mainly due to age. It is designed to snap if there is too much resistance on the seat track instead of cracking the plastic transmission housing or putting to much strain on the electric motor to a point where it overheats or blows a fuse. Chances are if you hear the motor running when you activate the switch and the seat does not move that this coupling has failed Molded in Clear / White Plastic with a Stronger Resin but still will snap in the event of a problem It is a much better quality plastic with a higher resin base. PLEASE NOTE : Our original design was copied incorrectly resulting in potential seat transmission failures which forced us to change the color of ours to more of a clearer plastic instead of white so that we can distinguish ours from the counterfeit. If you can not grab with both hands and flex it will destroy your power seat transmission!!!
